In this episode the steps taken by Prophet Muhummed (SAW) in the light of Quranic teachings for emancipation of slaves present during that time and for the abolition of deep rooted institution of slavery is discussed and how Islam restored human dignity. The meaning of the phrase " mamalakat iymanakum ( what your right hands posses)" as used in the Holy Quran is explained alongwith the answer to the allegation that the Quran gives permission to keep slave women as concubines. Besides, the relevance of Quranic teachings in the context of different forms of modern day slavery is explored.
