Hello there and welcome to this Spring Special edition of Is This Prog? In this episode I’m changing things up a little, rather than listen to an album to decide if it’s Prog or not I’m going to give you an overview of an artist I think you’ll like. Specifically, singer-songwriter Nick Drake. Nick had a lot of crossovers with prog bands, often supporting Genesis and working with members of Fairport Convention among others. But he didn’t achieve recognition in his lifetime. Find out why that might be, as well as my thoughts on his albums, in this extended special episode. I’ll be back with more episodes in the summer, so keep those suggestions coming in to revelationstationpodcast@gmail.com as well as letting me know what you think of this episode and the series so far. All original music is copyright the respective artists, in this case Nick Drake and Dream Academy. If you like it please consider streaming or purchasing it. Title music is Theme One by Van Der Graf Generator. Join me on Patreon for just £1 a month to receive episodes a week early, as well as bonus content, or for a short term commitment why not buy me a coffee by clicking this link. You could also join the Revelation Station Facebook group for news on new episodes and random thoughts. Thanks for listening, please like and subscribe and leave a review where possible.

Episode 4: untitled
Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends, probably. In this episode of Is This Prog? I’ll be listening to the fourth, untitled album by one of the biggest bands of the 1970’s - Led Zeppelin. Will this album be the fourth in a row to be labelled Prog? Or are there too many blues influences kicking around to justify that? This one’s a tricky one to judge progeteers, so make haste and listen in to find out what I decide. All original music is copyright the respective artists, in this case Led Zeppelin. If you like it please consider streaming or purchasing it. Title music is Theme One by Van Der Graf Generator.
