DISCLAIMER* We talk about women having full body autonomy and the resources that are out there to help women who need direction on making an informed choice for their bodies.
Inda's sister Khenis is joining the conversation as a liaison for the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice in Virginia, which helps educate and point women to different resources they may need, specifically in the latin community. They're mission is education so women can make informed decisions. So, we are bringing the conversation to the table in full transparency and authenticity.
Inda talks about the struggles of being on birth control and getting pregnant twice by the age of 20. All of the struggles that came with that and would she have had the resources to make another choice for herself? We go beyond having choice and focus on the logistics of it all.
We do not talk about political parties or any specific administration etc. This is truly a conversation about the realities women face every day and all of the resources available they may not know about. We definitely didn't know some of these organizations existed!

In this episode Amanda & Inda talk about Inda's biological father and the trauma that she had to overcome and heal from. We talk about all of the actions taken in the thick of the anger, depression and heartache over not having a positive male role to look up to and how that manifested into her relationship with herself and others. Inda gives some specific steps on how she came to forgive someone who never apologized and what that felt like. Healing isn't linear, but Inda talks about what helped her heal and we hope it can help you too if you are also struggling with forgiveness.
We dive into what keeps holding us back from leveling up and it's US.
It's been a few weeks since Amanda & Inda have recorded so they catch up on life before they talk about how uncomfortable it is to get out of your own way to achieve different goals. Being able to jump into something as uncomfortable it may be so that we can be better for it.
Growth doesn't happen in comfort zones.
We also talk about what years of body dysmorphia and yo-yo dieting does to our mindset and how difficult it is to change our mindset.
This episode is just Inda and her husband talking about our story; how we met, the struggles we faced early on in our marriage, him joining the military and how that changed the course of our lives. Frome becoming teenage parents who were barely surviving to almost two decades later with 3 kids and really enjoying our life together. We talk about some key points about what we did to make our marriage work, how we changed how we parent our kids and the stressors of having a child with Autism and all that comes with that. We hope this episode makes you laugh and also gives you hope that if we made it out of what we did, you can aslo. We hope you enjoy!
