In this episode, Mostafa Maleki & Mahmoud Javadi continued to discuss different aspects of the scientific cooperation and science diplomacy between Iran and Germany. Since the theme of the episode is related to that of the previous episode, Mahmoud reviewed what had been said and shared in the last episode and Mostafa provided a recent history of Iranian-German science cooperation and science diplomacy in particular. In addition, IRAN-DACH Podcast was honored and privileged to conduct an interview with Professor Dr. Mohammad R. Farzanegan who is a Professor in Economics of the Middle East (since 2012) at the Center for Near and Middle Eastern Studies (CNMS) & School of Business and Economics of Philipps-Universität Marburg in Germany. Professor Farzanegan depicted how Germany sees the scientific cooperation and science diplomacy and explained his ongoing scientific project between Iran and Germany, known as NADIMA. Since the interview was pre-recorded, Mostafa and Mahmoud, then, exchanged views on Dr. Farzanegan's ideas and words and eventually raised a number of challenges the Iranian-German scientific cooperation and science diplomacy is facing. They conclude the episode with a couple of recommendations for the Iranian side on augmenting its scientific cooperation and science diplomacy with Germany.
