Tessel van der Putte is a eco-feminist artist and researcher with a background in human rights and in nature conservation initiatives. She paints abstract and figurative work that re-imagines worlds of deep connectivity, femininity and mutual dependence. Her work is informed and inspired by bodies of water, resulting in a distinct style in which spaces are never void, merging and interflowing with form and the physical, often in high-contrasting colors and light. Each painting serves as a reminder of our connection to the natural world that exists both around and within us.Tessel has exhibited her work across the Netherlands and has two publications in her name, both research related to climate change, water, and human rights.tesselvanderputte.comInstagram
