Emilia is known for her sensitivity in seeing beauty in places and moments that often go unnoticed – and for her ability to transform these experiences into paintings where the past and present meet. We talked about her creative process, sources of inspiration, and how personal spaces and memories become an integral part of her art.
The conversation also touches on the freedom of creation and the courage it takes to follow one's own path as an artist. Emilia Nurmivaara (b 1992 in Vanda) lives and works in Karleby, Finland. She is currently represented by Gallery Poulsen in Denmark.
