Welcome to a new episode of our Impossible Interviews. Today, we’ll dive into the history of American osteopathy through one of its most influential figures: Charles Hazzard. A pivotal force in the growth of the discipline, Hazzard was not only a direct student of Andrew Taylor Still, but also an innovator who helped establish osteopathy as a scientifically valid and recognized practice.
As president of the American Osteopathic Association in 1903, he fought with determination to raise the standards of osteopathic education and to defend the profession against the resistance of the conventional medical world.
