The international break saw a number of British born or raised players in action on what we call Diaspora Duty.
Ghana sealed World Cup qualification, and reportedly a couple of former England internationals want in on the act, albeit to a mixed response. DR Congo and Nigeria's 2026 fates will be decided next month at the earliest, in a special CAF play-off round to hopefully make an inter-continental backdoor to the tournament. They may well meet the likes of Iraq and Jamaica there, who aren't quite where they need to be just yet in their respective regions.
