In this episode, our guest is Linh Truong. Linh has launched the internal audit function for three of her employers and is the CAE of Internal Audit & Enterprise Risk for North Texas Tollway Authority. Her passion for Internal Audit began at age 10 – it’s in her family and it’s in her DNA, and it continues to this day.
Linh’s expertise includes leadership and organizational culture, auditing with agility, building audit risk-based audit departments, and more. She is a professional speaker and author, and serves the audit community by mentoring and serving on advisory boards.
In this episode, we ask Linh what drew her to internal audit, and you’ll be shocked by her answer (hint: it involves the Vietnamese jungle and a gun). We talk about her book, Seven Deadly Sins of Organizational Culture: Lessons From Some of The Most Infamous Corporate Failures, and we dive into her successful implementation of one-page audit reports.
Linh is what I call a firecracker, a disruptor who is leading change in the audit industry. After listening to this episode, you won’t be satisfied with traditional, rote, audit thinking. You’ll see opportunities at every turn.
