In this episode, our guest is Jami Shine, the Corporate and IT Audit Manager for QuikTrip in Tulsa Oklahoma. Jami has a background in external audit for a Big 4 and is experienced in developing and teaching audit and communications training programs, public speaking, risk assessment, ERM, and planning, performing, and managing financial, IT, and operational audits.
Jami regularly contributes to and serves the internal audit community. She is a volunteer for the IIA both locally and globally, has authored several articles, and speaks at industry events.
In this episode, we ask Jami about her journey to audit, which very interestingly diverged from her original career goal of acting. We explore positivity – what it means for personal success and how corporate culture can empower and strengthen the role of internal audit within the business.
