Mandy Balak is the Founder and CEO of The Ace Class, a Canadian media and events company rooted in its mission to change the way women connect with other women. In a world full of curated images, a growing amount of time spent on social media comparing ourselves to others, and a lack of valuable face-to-face connection, Mandy created The Ace Class to allow women the space to experience vulnerable and real conversations, to build community and to get the support they need to grow and thrive. ACE is an acronym for activate, cultivate and empower. These principles guide the movement in its mission of activating meaningful conversation, cultivating community and connection and encouraging women to empower one another to lead their best lives. Recognizing the need to expand this movement beyond her own backyard, Mandy has launched The Ace Class in six major Canadian cities – Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Toronto.
