This week on Inside the NFL Prospects, we sit down with one of the Big Ten’s rising defensive talents: Jon Jon Stevens Jr., a freshman defensive back for the Northwestern Wildcats. A versatile athlete out of Columbus, Ohio, Stevens made a name for himself at Westerville North High School, where he dominated on both sides of the ball — logging over 1,000 all-purpose yards, 65 tackles, and multiple touchdowns in his senior season. Now at Northwestern, he’s already turning heads with his physicality, range, and confidence in the Wildcats’ secondary. In this episode, Jon Jon opens up about his transition to Big Ten football, the daily work that drives him, and the mindset it takes to make an early impact at the collegiate level. He also shares insight into his preparation, leadership, and long-term vision as he builds toward an NFL future. About the Prospect Name: Jon Jon Stevens Jr. Position: Defensive Back (DB), Northwestern University Height/Weight: 6′0″, 190 lb Hometown: Columbus, Ohio High School: Westerville North HS Recruiting: Three-star prospect, rated No. 51 in Ohio; committed to Northwestern in January 2024 as part of the 2025 class. High School Highlights: 1,086 all-purpose yards (701 rushing, 217 receiving) and 11 TDs on offense, plus 65 tackles, 2 INTs, and a fumble-return touchdown on defense. College Snapshot: Recorded 11 tackles (8 solo) as a freshman in 2025.
