The Effects of Wildfires on Our Health
Private Medical Silicon Valley-based pediatrician, Dr. Erika Drazan, is joined by Dr. Kari Nadeau, the Naddisy Foundation Endowed Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics and the Director of the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University. For more than 30 years, Dr. Nadeau has focused on how environmental and immune/genetic factors affect allergies, immune tolerance, and asthma. In today’s conversation, the doctors discuss wildfires and climate change, including the issues of how to protect your immune system from air pollution, how allergies are affected by changing weather, and the long-term effects of smoke exposure.
