Insecurities about Language is about my journey with learning a new language and tackling the death of language within families. I will have many conversations with those on the same journey, from teachers, from those teaching their kids, and really anyone who wants to have a conversation about language! And tackling Insecurities. This podcast is for people who are learning a new language, who want to learn a language, and people who grew up speaking a language but forgot it. If you fall into one of these categories or somewhere in between, then this podcast is for you!

Insecurities about Language-Hermosas Chicas Negras

Hey Language Learners! Welcome back to another amazing interview about Insecurities about Language. This is a special interview with the Hermosas Chicas Negras! In this episode, I spoke with D’anne, Ayo, and Paula of the Hermosas Chicas Negras about their language learning journey with Spanish. Each are leaning Spanish from different Spanish speaking countries. You’ll hear thoughtful explanations about their language environments, how they meet one another, why they chose the specific Spanish language, and of course, their insecurities about the language! Also, they answered one of my most important questions, “What does the death of language within families mean to you?” And so much more. These ladies are so encouraging, and I hope you all enjoy this special episode!

Dominican Republic Spanish- D’anne

Mexican Spanish- Ayo

Colombian Spanish- Paula
