Quantum Computing Inc. secures $750 million in private placement

Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi), an integrated photonics and quantum optics company, has successfully closed an oversubscribed private placement, raising $750 million, according to a press release carried by Quantum Insider. The company will use the proceeds to commercialise its technology, fund strategic acquisitions, expand production, and for other corporate purposes.

55 North launches world's largest dedicated quantum fund

55 North, a new Copenhagen-based venture capital firm, has announced the first close of its inaugural quantum technology fund, raising €134 million. The fund, which aims for a total of €300 million, is backed by Novo Holdings and EIFO.

Owlstone Medical receives up to $49.1 million for at-home cancer tests

Owlstone Medical has been awarded up to $49.1 million by the US Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), the Cambridge, UK company said in a press release. The funding will support the development of at-home multi-cancer early detection tests using breath and urine samples, aiming to detect over 30 types of solid tumors at Stage I. The project, part of the POSEIDON program, is a collaboration with multiple partners including MIT and Boston University.

Energy Robotics secures $13.5 million to scale operations

Energy Robotics, a Germany-based AI software platform provider for autonomous robot inspections, has raised a successful $13.5 million Series-A funding round, the company said in a press release. The investment will be used to accelerate the commercial deployment of its software in critical infrastructure sectors, addressing challenges like a shrinking skilled workforce and aging equipment, while improving safety and efficiency.

Australian researchers set solar cell efficiency record

A University of Sydney-led team has set a new global record for large triple-junction solar cell efficiency, Bioengineer reports. A 16 cm² perovskite-based cell achieved a certified 23.3% efficiency, while a smaller cell reached 27.06% and demonstrated superior thermal stability. The breakthrough, published in Nature Nanotechnology, is a key step towards next-generation solar technology.

QWR and Kaynes partner to build India's first XR manufacturing hub

Indian electronics manufacturers expected to report strong growth

Indian electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies are poised for strong Q2FY26 growth, with Kaynes, Syrma, and AVAL leading the way, analysts at PL Capital said in an earnings preview report for the fiscal second quarter or the July - September period. The report predicts a rise in profitability, driven by a strategic shift towards high-margin sectors.

Morphing Machines raises Rs. 38.36 crore in Series A funding

Morphing Machines, a Bengaluru-based fabless semiconductor company, has raised Rs. 38.36 crore ($4.32 million) in a Series A funding round, according to multiple news reports. The round was led by IAN Alpha Fund, with participation from Speciale Invest, IvyCap Ventures, and Navam Capital. The funds will be used to build and test the company's first chip, expand its team, and begin pilot projects with data center customers.
