What a picture of forgiveness. As Jesus was being wrongfully murdered, he asks His Father to forgive those who were responsible. How often we hold onto unforgiveness for the smallest offense. Hope we all learn to forgive as we have been forgiven. God, we thank You for sending Jesus, Your Son, to die in our place. When he spoke the words "it is finished" our salvation was complete. Everything You had ever promised or provided for, was made available to us. Our sins were washed away, not just forgiven, but forgotten. Amen
