Known as “Jonesy” to his friends, he career began with the Ohio prison system after he volunteered for the military draft where he served from 1973 to 1975 as a combat engineer. Sheriff Jones holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree in Corrections.

EquuSearch Midwest is a non-profit (501c3) organization that is a branch of Texas EquuSearch. Both the Texas and Midwest branches provide law enforcement much needed assets such as drones, horses, boats, volunteers, and other advanced technology for missing persons cases.

From Iowa to South Carolina, EquuSearch Midwest has assisted in hundred of missing persons cases.
