The 2022 Figure Skating World Championships crowned 4 new world champions last week: Shoma Uno, Kaori Sakamoto, Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier, and Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron. Others also made history for their countries. Loena Hendrickx won Belgium’s first world figure skating medal, while Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara won Japan’s first even world pairs medal.
