Joselo Andrade, executive director of the Ecuadorian Institute for Economic Policy (IEEP), argues both candidates represented left-leaning principles. However, he emphasizes that Noboa at least defends democracy and civil liberties, essential pillars for achieving prosperity. Andrade stresses that the private sector and think tanks like IEEP play a critical role in educating citizens.
