In this episode, Tina chats with Angie White, a Sonographer and educator with over 20 years of experience. We explore sonography – an imaging technique which uses ultrasound to examine soft tissues and solid organs inside the body.
Angie trained in the USA and has worked across two healthcare systems. She is now a Practice Educator at the North Central London Imaging Academy and a Lecturer at Brunel University.
Angie explains what sonography involves, the types of conditions it can help diagnose, and why curiosity, empathy and communication are key to the role. She also shares her career highlights, advice for those thinking of entering the field, and how new technology, including AI, is shaping the future of ultrasound.
