Today we explore the [Alternate] Presidency of the Ronald Reagan before Ronald Reagan, Barry Goldwater. Although he lost in a landslide to Lyndon Baines Johnson in 1964, the Arizona Senator was widely cited as founding the conservative wing of the Republican Party. His alternate election over a now still-living JFK with all the scandals that later came out in his life resulted in him retaking the White House for the GOP-something they would not lose until 2008. A female President in the 70s, 52 years of GOP control in the White House, 5 Democrats as President since the Civil War- here it today on Imagine If?
