In this episode we focus on research around Crisis Resolution Teams, as featured in the March issue of the IJPM.
Dr Mohamed Alsaffar, Trainee Editor of the IJPM, sat down with Dr Karen O’Connor and Dr Sean Crowley to discuss their recent article, The Clinical Impact of a Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team and the significance within the wider context of Crisis Resolution Services in Ireland.
Dr Sean Crowley, lead author of this paper, is a Higher Specialist Trainee in Psychiatry, specialising in General Adult Psychiatry and Psychiatry of Old Age.
Dr Karen O’Connor is Consultant Psychiatrist for the Home Based Treatment Team and RISE Early Intervention in Psychosis Service, South Lee Mental Health Services, Cork. She is also the National Clinical Lead for Early Intervention in Psychosis and has published widely in this area.
