In episode 4 I chat to my friend Alice, a pre-construction designer who describes herself as a "council estate kid". We talk about her navigation through state school in a deprived area of South Yorkshire, studying for her masters in surveying and eventually entering the male dominant, construction industry. She also talks of her travel experiences and how they have shaped her view on personal identity.
