Religious scriptures were never meant to be read literally. The Quran too has messages in metaphors. When it says the Prophet went on a winged horse to meet God, it should not be taken literally. Even heaven and hell are metaphors. Why would a soul need a pillow or honey in heaven? It means that the soul would be comfortable, without pain or fears of this life.
