Episode 25: Episode #25: Increase In-Store Sales vs the Online Competitor with the CEO of Elkjøp Norway, Fredrik Tønnesen
Welcome to IBM Keep It Simple (KIS) Technology Podcast hosted by Thomas F. Anglero, Nordic Director of Innovation at IBM..  In this episode, Fredrik Tønnesen, CEO of Elkjøp Norway shares his experiences with launching the PS5 in Norway, how to compete with your own business when you have a significant online presence and brick & mortar stores throughout the country, what it takes to be a leader, and so much more.   Fredrik began sharing the behind the curtain events of what it takes to launch and manage the PS5 launch in Norway from a CEO and leader perspective.  He shares funny stories as well as challenges with personnel and the business side.  Fredrik is a pure leader and he shares his steps as to how to lead people, a national organization, and the elusive millennial workforce.    Most importantly, Fredrik explained how to motivate and train his people.  Not just on technology but on being the best engaging salespeople you have ever met.  Fredrik personally makes 50-100 store visits a year but not just as the CEO to meet & greet but to also restock the store shelves and to sell items to customers just like any other salesperson.  Fredrik shares all and he's a role model for many other leaders to follow in retail. You will not be disappointed in listening to Fredrik and his unique insider view of what it takes to be a USD billion-dollar company and have happy employees at the same time.  Another great episode with another great leader!
