19 - The Scott Hall Episode

Scott is the founder and CEO of AltHub, where he helps data providers refine their offering so that investors and corporate data users can make use of the data. Prior to AltHub, Scott was the Managing Director Briarcliff Hall, a sales consultancy. He also ran sales at Roubini Global Economics, was COO of a division of Morningstar, a Managing Director of Data Feeds at Thomson Reuters, and started his career at JP Morgan before joining Lehman Brothers and Zacks Investment Research.

Scott discusses the history of investors generating alpha from novel data sources, and where alternative data fits into that landscape. Scott also delves into the challenges with making data usable for asset managers as well as for corporate data users.
