This week on the pod we’re heading down under (Kinda) for a continued discussion on Video Nasties (But, not really) as we watched a classic in both New Zealand film and splatter horror in Peter Jacksons (yes, THAT one) 1992 Horror Comedy, Dead Alive! Join us as we turn our brains off for a putrid good time. It’s a movie that you can see, smell, hear and taste from beginning to end, and you’ll surely want a second helping of this slop! Join us as we laud this as a great pick to put on at a party with your friends, if your friends like dismembered corpses that is. We speculate whether or not this is cannon with Jackson’s remake of King Kong and note more than just one allusion to inspiration from Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”. Also discussed, the slapstick “Muppet-ness” of the New Zealand sense of humor, timeless practical effects, and CAN you show hog on instagram? You’ve got more blood and guts than you’ll know what to do with on this weeks episode of “I Didn’t Need To See That!”
