This week we head out of the sheets and into the streets as we close out our coverage on the Nymphomaniac saga with Nymphomaniac Volume 2. This week we flipped the script, as Aaron watched the Theatrical cut and Pete watched the Directors cut with a full 54 minutes of extra content including extra double penetration, and possibly the most graphic abortion ever depicted on film. We’re in full Odyssey territory here folks. But it’s not all bad! We talk in todays episode about how through all the needless pontification from the Seligman character, and all the physical and sexual abuse our character of Joe endures, there’s actually an incredibly strong case for this being highly feminist movie. Also discussed today are the rules of consent in the BDSM community, when NOT to tell your wife it’s ok to step out on their marriage, and how it really feels like Lars Von Trier just wrote every taboo he could think of and put into this film.
