We may be done with Satan, but we’re not quite done with Sinning. Join us for the month of November as we embark on the fluid-filled odyssey of sex that is Lars Von Trier’s 2013 film “Nymphomaniac”; a saga covered in 2 parts! Join us as we discuss this masterful film made by a truly insufferable human being. While at times we both think this script is trying to just come off as “look at how smart I am” by just saying pseudo-intellectual things without any sort of clear indication or thematic through line, we still find this to be one of Von Trier’s Best films. Strong performances by the two female leads, a brash and cold representation of sex; and a whole lot of it at that, give this film a bite that few other films have. Also discussed on the episode are how refreshing it is to see this depiction of sex in media, the politics of cheating, and how Shia LeBeouf really should be kept away from the general public. All this and more on this week’s episode of “I Didn’t Need To See That!”
