On this week’s episode, we’re blowing out the candle on this seance as we close out our super spooky double feature on Demonic Possession with a modern all-timer in 2018’s “Hereditary”. Keep an eye on that weird, sentient light, beware of naked old people and for the love of god, check the cake for nuts! Join in with us as we both revisit a film that we; for the first time in podcast history (apparently?!), agree is a certified banger of a film. From Toni Collette’s Oscar-worthy performance, Colin Stetson’s noteworthy score, and of course the man of the hour himself, first time writer-director Ari Aster and how he crafted a true horror masterpiece. Also discussed, the “A24 boom”, how we’d be mad too if mom tried to light us on fire, and honestly speaking, King of Hell doesn’t sound like all that bad of a title.
