When I was younger, I loved doing stuff to get money. I did not know what I was going to do with the money. I just wanted to have it. Eventually I would spend it, but I would have a lot left over. One time my brother went to a friend's house that was in the neighborhood, so I decided to give him a gift. I remember going over to the window and seeing him coming back home from his friend's house. I could feel my stomach drop and it was like a river of flowing thoughts of him seeing the present before it was wrapped. He came into the house before we were done but we told him to stay on the other side of the house for a bit while we were finishing.

Another time I gave away my money was during Christmas Night. I was going to bed in the same room as my brother since we had a shared room at the time. For Christmas I had gotten and Xbox gift card. My brother was talking about this game he wanted and how he didn’t have enough money to buy it. I decided to tell him about my gift card. I told him I would give it to him so he could get the game. He kept declining and declining it but I eventually got him to accept it. The next morning, he used the card. While he was using the card a moment of happiness entered my body. It was like someone had just given me a million dollars.

I think that giving is an important thing in life. If you keep everything you have or if you have extra food and you through it away all the time you won't feel the real joy of giving. I believe giving is the real way to get real joy. If you don’t give you won't have enough room for anything else. If you don’t give you won't see the reaction of someone else's happiness of receiving something that belonged to you before. I believe giving is the key to happiness.
