Based on the Sierra Leone National Lifeskills manual “I am somebody”, this podcast is developed from recordings prepared for airing on Education Radio as part of the Radio Teaching Programme by the Teaching Service Commission and Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education while schools are closed due to Coronavirus mitigration measures. The programme is aired from 7:30-8pm five days per week (Monday to Friday) on 95.3fm targeting both in and out of school adolescent girls and boys aged 9-13.

Today’s episode will focus on Pregnancy prevention

Why do you think we choose this topic? In the past few weeks we have been learning about what is sex, we have learned about friendly and romantic relationship and we have learned about the consequences when children get pregnant. Today we are going to learn about ways to prevent pregnancy, which is information that will be useful to you in the future. This doesn’t mean you are ready for sex, it just means that you are old enough to learn more about prevention.
