Today’s very special guest is Tāmaki Makaurau-based composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Serebii (the artist project of Callum Mower)!
After establishing the Serebii project with several albums’ worth of trancing neo-soul and shape-shifting ballads, much of it done in collaboration with fellow New Zealander Arjuna Oakes, Mower had no lack of confidence in his musical abilities. But much of Mower’s focus in the past was on instruments and production—swirling, cinematic instrumentals under his own name or funky art-pop jams with others on vocals. On Dime, however, Mower knew he wanted to push forward with his own singing placed centre stage.

EP 32: Mim Jensen on her new EP ‘Shadow Of A Gift’
Today's special guest is alt-indie artist Mim Jensen!
Her new project is a collection of six powerful, poignant and emotionally illuminating tracks, symbolising her growth and journey as both an artist, and an individual. Taking the listener on an aural trip of introspection and longing, the EP title refers to shining light on the dark parts for the ‘gift’ to reveal itself, and how everything we experience is interconnected and an integral part of the process.
A naturally gifted writer, Jensen’s heartache-fuelled music continues to impress as a bold explorer of self-reflection, discussing deeply personal topics such as historical trauma and emotional conflict that can propel people forward towards a path of self-healing.
Jensen’s musical odyssey has seen her share stages with indie-rock stalwarts such as Teenage Dads (AU), Great Gable (AU), The Butlers (NZ), The Beths (NZ), and most recently securing highly coveted support slots on Shihad’s final ever tour including their show at Spark Arena, Auckland.
