पिछले दिनों गुजरात हाई कोर्ट ने 68 जजों के प्रमोशन को हरी झंडी दे दी थी और इसको लेकर गुजरात सरकार ने भी नोटिफिकेशन जारी कर दिया था. लेकिन जिस तरह से प्रमोशन किया गया था उसपर दो डिशियल ऑफिसर नाराज़ थे और इन दोनों ने सुप्रीम में याचिका कर प्रमोशन पर रोक लगाने की मांग की थी. अपनी याचिका में याचिकाकर्ताओं ने हाईकोर्ट की तरफ से अपनाए गए तरीके पर सवाल उठाए थे. जिन जजों के प्रमोशन के खिलाफ याचिका दायर की गई थी इसमें राहुल गांधी को मानहानि का दोषी करार देने वाले जज हरीश वर्मा और केजरीवाल को मानहानि मामले में समन जारी करने वाले जज जयेश एल चोवटिया भी शामिल है.
