Sean is a senior writer at The Athletic. He has written books about minor hockey including his most recent in 2019 called "Before the Lights Go Out: A Season Inside a Game on the Brink". The book focuses on issues that exist in minor hockey we discuss ways they can be remedied in the long term. He also shared insight on his work with The Athletic, in particular about his work interviewing people who work in sports media and how they adapt to the everchanging landscape.
