Hucklow Summer School focuses on matters of religion and spirituality and intends to draw out and develop the potential of all participants. We aim to provide a balanced programme, offering a rich mix of activities for both the heart and head, and a variety of optional sessions showcasing activities which participants might "take home" and try out in their own communities. We also ensure that there are plenty of opportunities for relaxed fellowship and fun during the week. Summer School brings Unitarians together and allows them to get to know each other deeply and form lasting connections.

The fourth of a series of five theme talks exploring the topic 'Right Relationship: Practising Love, Peace, and Justice in Everyday Life' by Torry Glinwell and Alex Brianson. Torry Glinwell (they/them) hails from the heart of the Black Country, now living in Norwich, Norfolk. With an interest in earth-centred spirituality they came to Unitarianism sixteen years ago on the advice of a friend and found a home. They work as a qualified childcare practitioner alongside their wife, are a member of Girlguiding, as well as pursuing writing for fun in their spare time. Alex Brianson has been a Unitarian since 2010, and was an active member of Richmond and Putney Unitarians before relocating to the Wirral in 2015. Since the pandemic began, he's been a virtual Unitarian thanks to the Heart and Soul gatherings, and in the Before Times he set up Rainbow Unitarians, a group for those of us in the denomination who identify as LGBTQ+. Alex trained as a Unitarian service leader, and contributed a chapter on the environment and eco-spirituality to 'Living With Integrity: Unitarian Values and Beliefs in Practice. He lives with several chronic illnesses, including CFS/ME, and was diagnosed as autistic at age 48, which he persists in calling midlife.
