Steve is a solo attorney in southern New Jersey who, having practiced law working for others for 15 years, got the “Entrepreneurial Itch” in 2000 and opened his own practice. He soon realized that in order to make a living, he had to start bringing in clients and work; no one else was going to do it but him. He had to become an entrepreneur. He also had no help, no secretary, no paralegal, and no marketing manager. He had to figure it all out for himself.

Knowing that the internet and websites were the future, he established a website and started writing content. At the same time, by partnering with the right companies and coaches, he developed a sophisticated information-based direct marketing approach that attracted the right prospects. But because he had no staff initially, he learned how to manage his time and his tasks to get more done.

Having accomplished this for himself, he started helping other solo attorneys to achieve what he did without all the trial and error. His latest book, Getting Off the Hamster Wheel: Transforming Your Law Practice to Make More Money in Less Time Through Effective Systems and Marketing, provides overworked lawyers with a path to entrepreneurship and a better life.
