Highlands Trip started where Outlander started to Covenanter Hotel, the ruins of St. Andrews (plus golf). Inverness featured a sheepdog demo, Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle, and Clava Cairns ruins. We finished this leg into the Highlands with a ferry to Orkney and its ancient ruins (Skara Brae, Maeshowe), medieval complex around in St. Magnus, and WW2 sites around Scapa Flow with great hiking. Plus, two great distillery tours in Edradour and Highland Park.
