EP 2 - Solastalgia and Climate Grief: Exploring the Emotional Toll of Environmental Change

Can we grieve for the planet while still living in it? In this special episode, recorded in collaboration with Hothouse Bookclub, we tackle Solastalgiaโ€”the distress caused by environmental change in the places we call home ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’”

This panel talk was part of our Solastalgic Summer event celebrating Hothouse Bookclub's 1st anniversary as a group. On this panel we discussed the concept of Solastalgia - the distress specifically caused by environmental change while still in a home environment. I was joined by Tori Tsui, author and a fierce advocate for climate justice and Samrawit Gougsa, co-lead of the Land Body Ecologies research group at the Wellcome Trust and Head of Communications at Minority Rights Group and Damien Gayle, environment correspondent for the Guardian.
