R. Bruce Elder is one of the most prolific and acclaimed artist filmmakers currently working in Canada. In this episode we discuss Bruce's journey toward his personal filmmaking practice and focus particularly on the first two films in his epic "Book of Praise" cycle: A Man Whose Life Was Full of Woe Has Been Surprised by Joy and its emotionally devastating follow up Crack, Brutal Grief.
