The Madrid World Cup brought thrilling moments and milestones! Piergiorgio Bucci and Hantano claimed victory with a bold 8-stride move in the jump-off, while Michael Pender and HHS Los Angeles delivered a close second-place finish. Maikel van der Vleuten and Beauville Z celebrated their 100th 1.60m start with a smooth podium finish, marking an incredible achievement in showjumping. Course designer Javier Trenor challenged riders with technical elements like the Liverpool double and the b of the triple. While 13 advanced to the jump-off, early rails made clear rounds essential for a podium spot. Bucci’s efficient turns secured the win, but Pender and van der Vleuten kept the pressure high. Next week, all eyes turn to Thermal, California, for the MLSJ Individual Final, where $1,000,000 is up for grabs. Can Conor Swail hold onto his lead, or will Kent Farrington steal the title?
