Episode 6 When Obedience Heals: The Story of Naaman

In this episode, we dive into the life-changing story of Naaman a respected commander who came to the prophet Elisha expecting a dramatic miracle, but instead received a simple instruction from God: “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River.”

At first, Naaman was offended. Why wash in muddy water when cleaner rivers were back home? But God wasn’t just after his healing He was after his heart. Naaman’s miracle came only after he humbled himself and obeyed completely.

I preached this message before in a church, but preparing it again for this episode humbled me all over again. It took away my pride and reminded me that no matter how much we know or serve, we all need to submit to God’s way over our own.
