This joint effort by Hui Mahiai Aina and the Aio Foundation aims to provide housing and support for homeless individuals and families. The project will introduce thirty-one new buildings, including twenty-four for kupuna, elders, families, and single adults, increasing the communitys capacity. Aunty Blanche McMillan, leader of Hui Mahiai Aina, expressed gratitude and emphasized the projects role in healing, personal growth, and renewed hope. Mayor Rick Blangiardi praised McMillans leadership and the organizations innovative work in addressing homelessness.
