Persepolis (2007)

Join us as we "wine" down animation month with a glass of red or white and discuss our favorite animated movie of the month, the iconic memoir, Persepolis. We're discussing this poignant and timely story of one woman's experience living through political and cultural revolutions, immigration, and how someone's perspective of civil unrest changes as they grow up. This story is reflective and relevant as so many Iranian women continue to fight for their freedom today.  We consider it required viewing! We even throw in some Farsi and stories of Lydia's and Sara's persian adventures in college (featuring the Iranian Birthday Song. If you know, you know). Written and Directed by Marjane Satrapi. Cheers!
