
Professor Summers Sandoval is an associate professor of History and Chicana/Latina Studies at Pomona College, where he has twice received the Distinguished Professor Award for teaching. There, he teaches classes on Latinx history, social movements, oral history, and racial inequality in the United States, specifically in California. He currently serves as the First Vice President of the Oral History Association. In this episode, he addresses the criticality of identity, diversity, and inclusion in the history and development of communities.
