Join Dr. Courtney Szto (Queen’s University) as she discusses the history of hockey often forgotten. Courtney speaks of the Mi’kmaq creation of hockey sticks, the Colored Hockey League of the Maritimes, and the diverse and multicultural aspect of hockey that has long been ignored. We explore the game we recognize as one of Canada’s official sports - hockey - and question what we don’t know about the history of the game, and what stories we should be looking for.
