On February 16, 1981 Arne Cheyenne Johnson brutally stabbed his landlord to death with a pocket knife. He and his family were convinced that Arne was under the control of the devil at the time and was therefore innocent. To this day Arne stands by his claim that the devil made him do it.
This heinous crime would later become the inspiration for a made for TV film, a book, and the latest addition to the "Conjurverse":
