It’s 1692 in Massachusetts this episode, as we learn about all the craziness that was the infamous Salem Witch Trials. The lovely Katie Gallagher joins on this one, and it’s a real doozy. We take a look at the European witch trials, which were the original inspiration for the witch trials in Salem, MA. We learn about some of the more infamous figures of the movement, like Mathew Hopkins, who was dubbed as the ‘Witch-Finder General’.  And, we dive into all the absurd ‘witch testing methods’ that cropped up during this hysteria, like one that involved an accused witch peeing on some wheat that was then eaten by a dog who’s reaction determined the accused level of ‘Witchey-ness’l Yea, things got a little kooky back then.
