This episode we're book-clubbing the Netflix movie, Roma, directed and written by noted director, Alfonso Cuaron! This episode's a little different because we're recording DURING the 91st Academy Award ceremony, with live updates about awards to Roma and other movies we've book-clubbed. We discuss the realism and authenticiy, the distinct cinematography of Cuaron, Yalitza Aparicio and representation she brings to indigenous women, and Zelenny's Mexican perspective on a story that feels very familiar.
