In the mid 2000s, Insane Lane was literally carving a name for himself in the world of deathmatch wrestling. Working for well known companies like IWA Mid-South, IWA Deep South, and even occasionally Combat Zone Wrestling, Lane's reputation was growing. Frequently entering tournaments like The King of the Deathmatches, The Tournament of Death, and Carnage Cup (which he would eventually win), he was gaining a big following.
And then he just disappeared.
He was gone from wrestling. His social media had disappeared. But then suddenly...he was back, only to vanish yet again.
Lane has once again returned to officially have the last match in his career.
In this interview, we're going to meet "Lane," the man behind "The Mental Messiah," and find out why he left multiple times only to now have his last moment in the sun. We'll get personal and focus on the mental health struggles he's dealt with. Have they been conquered? Why did he disappear a few years ago after what seemed to be a career rebirth, which included returning to both the King of the Deathmatches and Tournament of Death? Finally, why did he return for these two final matches and how were his opponents decided?
All of this plus stories about wrestling Mickie Knuckles, Tank, Spidar Boodrow, and Freakshow. We'll even hear his side of the story concerning a backstage incident with another deathmatch wrestling legend.
How does one process going from a world of razor wire boards and baseball bats covered in shark teeth to the simple life of just being "Lane?" Join us as we find out.
